       The Committee on Transportation (Yarborough) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment
    2  
    3         Delete lines 20 - 35
    4  and insert:
    5         (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate must be
    6  distributed equally to the following organizations:
    7         1. The Diabetes Research Institute Foundation;
    8         2. The Northern Florida Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes
    9  Research Foundation;
   10         3. The Southern Florida Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes
   11  Research Foundation; and
   12         4. The University of Florida Diabetes Institute.
   13         (c) Each organization may use up to 10 percent of the
   14  proceeds received by the organization to promote and market the
   15  plate. All remaining proceeds must be used for the purpose of
   16  funding research to cure Type 1 diabetes.
