Floor: 1a/F/2R . 04/26/2023 03:20 PM . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Senator Book moved the following: 1 Senate Amendment to Amendment (333316) (with title 2 amendment) 3 4 Delete lines 385 - 414 5 and insert: 6 (5) FELONY CONVICTION.—The department shall identify those 7 registered voters who have been convicted of a felony and whose 8 voting rights have not been restored by comparing information 9 received from, but not limited to, a clerk of the circuit court, 10 the Board of Executive Clemency, the Department of Corrections, 11 the Department of Law Enforcement, or a United States Attorney’s 12 Office, as provided in s. 98.093. The department shall review 13 such information and make an initial determination as to whether 14 the information is credible and reliable. If the department 15 determines that the information is credible and reliable, the 16 department mustshallnotify the supervisor and provide a copy 17 of the supporting documentation indicating the potential 18 ineligibility of the voter to be registered. Upon receipt of the 19 notice that the department has made a determination of initial 20 credibility and reliability, the supervisor shall adhere to the 21 procedures set forth in subsection (7) beforeprior tothe 22 removal of a registered voter’s name from the statewide voter 23 registration system. 24 25 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 26 And the title is amended as follows: 27 Delete lines 2498 - 2505 28 and insert: 29 timeframe if certain conditions exist; providing 30 construction;
