    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to law clerks for circuit court
    3         judges; creating s. 26.032, F.S.; providing for a law
    4         clerk for each circuit court judge; specifying a base
    5         salary; providing an effective date.

    7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    8  
    9         Section 1. Section 26.032, Florida Statutes, is created to
   10  read:
   11         26.032 Law clerks.—
   12         (1) Each circuit court judge shall be provided a law clerk.
   13         (2) Each law clerk shall receive as salary the amount
   14  indicated, based on the population of his or her county with pay
   15  adjustments and benefits according to those provided to other
   16  state employees. In addition, a compensation shall be made for
   17  population increments over the minimum for each population
   18  group, which shall be determined by multiplying the population
   19  in excess of the minimum for the group times the group rate.
