The Committee on Criminal Justice (Trumbull) recommended the
following:

4 and insert:
5 (11) A person commits a felony of the first degree
6 punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084
7 if he or she violates subsection (8) or subsection (9) and:
8 (a) Has two or more previous convictions of violations of
9 either or both of those subsections; or
10 (b) Possesses a firearm during the commission of such
11 offense.
