The Committee on Health Policy (Brodeur) recommended the
following:
1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

3 Delete everything after the enacting clause
4 and insert:
5 Section 1. Paragraph (a) of subsection (18) of section
6 395.1055, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
7 395.1055 Rules and enforcement.—
8 (18) In establishing rules for adult cardiovascular
9 services, the agency shall include provisions that allow for:
10 (a) The establishment of two hospital program licensure
11 levels, a Level I program that authorizes the performance of
12 adult percutaneous cardiac intervention without onsite cardiac
13 surgery, including rotational or other atherectomy devices,
14 electrophysiology, and treatment of chronic total occlusions,
15 and a Level II program that authorizes the performance of
16 percutaneous cardiac intervention with onsite cardiac surgery.
17 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2024.

23 A bill to be entitled
24 An act relating to adult cardiovascular care
25 standards; amending s. 395.1055, F.S.; revising
26 requirements for rules the Agency for Health Care
27 Administration is required to adopt, to allow a Level
28 I Adult Cardiovascular Services program to use certain
29 additional tools in the treatment of adult
30 percutaneous cardiac intervention; providing an
31 effective date.
