The Committee on Children, Families, and Elder Affairs
(Rodriguez) recommended the following:

3 Between lines 81 and 82
4 insert:
5 Section 3. Subsection (2) of section 515.31, Florida
6 Statutes, is amended to read:
7 515.31 Drowning prevention education program; public
8 information publication.—
9 (2) The department shall also produce, for distribution to
10 the public at no charge, a publication that provides information
11 on drowning prevention and the responsibilities of pool
12 ownership. The department, in lieu of developing its own
13 publication, may adopt a nationally recognized drowning
14 prevention and responsibilities of pool ownership publication,
15 as provided in rule of the department. The department must
16 include in this publication, or video or other form of
17 appropriate communication, information relevant to newborn and
18 infant drowning prevention and must make this information
19 available to health care facilities, including, but not limited
20 to, hospitals, birth centers, and perinatal facilities.

23 And the title is amended as follows:

25 insert:
26 amending s. 515.31, F.S.; requiring the department to
27 include specified information as part of its
28 publication, or video or other form of appropriate
29 communication, which provides the public information
30 on drowning prevention and the responsibilities of
31 pool ownership; requiring the department to make such
32 information available to health care facilities;
