    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Between lines 621 and 622
    4  insert:
    5         Section 6. Section 196.19791, Florida Statutes, is created
    6  to read:
    7         196.19791 Affordable housing exemption; reporting
    8  requirement.—By July 1, 2025, and each July 1 thereafter, each
    9  development that is newly constructed as defined in s.
   10  196.1978(3)(a) and has received an exemption from ad valorem
   11  taxes under s. 196.1978 or s. 196.1979 must submit a report to
   12  the Governor, the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of
   13  the House of Representatives which details its occupancy or the
   14  ratio of rented or sold units to unrented or unsold units and
   15  whether any units are transient public lodging establishments as
   16  defined in s. 509.013(4)(a)1.
