       The Committee on Judiciary (Grall) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 13 - 16
    4  and insert:
    5         (12) A woman who has given birth within the 6 months before
    6  the reporting date on a summons for jury service shall be
    7  excused upon a written request for excusal accompanied by a
    8  photocopy of the newborn’s birth certificate. The excusal
    9  applies only to the specific summons for which the excusal is
   10  requested.
