Floor: 1/AD/2R . 02/28/2024 11:07 AM . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Senator Bradley moved the following: 1 Senate Amendment 2 3 Delete lines 17 - 23 4 and insert: 5 (2) The department shall consult with the Department of 6 Children and Families and at least one domestic violence 7 advocacy organization and may consult with the Florida Sheriffs 8 Association, the Florida Police Chiefs Association, and the 9 Florida Partnership to End Domestic Violence to develop the 10 policies, procedures, and training necessary for implementation 11 of a statewide evidence-based lethality assessment. Such 12 policies, procedures, and training must establish how to 13 determine whether a victim and aggressor are intimate partners 14 and establish a statewide process for referring a victim to a 15 certified domestic violence center. By January 1, 2025, the 16 department must adopt a statewide lethality assessment form that 17 includes all the information in paragraph (c). Training on how 18 to administer a lethality assessment and the approved lethality 19 assessment form must be accessible to a law enforcement officer 20 in an online format.
