    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to fees; amending s. 607.0122, F.S.;
    3         providing filing fees for expedited services;
    4         specifying manners in which expedited service fees may
    5         be paid; providing that expedited service fees are
    6         nonrefundable; providing a contingent effective date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    9  
   10         Section 1. Subsection (2) of section 607.0122, Florida
   11  Statutes, as amended by SB 1614, 2025 Regular Session, is
   12  amended to read:
   13         607.0122 Fees for filing documents and issuing
   14  certificates.—
   15         (2)(a) A person may request expedited services by
   16  submitting to the department an expedited service request form.
   17  A request for expedited services must be made in person or
   18  through an electronic transmission. A request for expedited
   19  services may not be requested through mail. In addition to the
   20  filing fees in subsection (1), a person must pay the following
   21  fees for expedited services:
   22         1.For a request received by the department before 4 p.m.
   23  requesting service within 1 hour: $1,000.
   24         2.For a request received by the department before 2 p.m.
   25  requesting service within 3 hours: $300.
   26         3.For a request received by the department before 10 a.m.
   27  requesting same-day service: $100.
   28         (b)Expedited service fees may be paid by credit card,
   29  check, or money order or through a customer’s deposit account,
   30  which must already be established. Expedited service fees may
   31  not be paid for in cash and all expedited service fees are
   32  nonrefundable.
   33         Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law
   34  if SB 1614 or similar legislation is adopted in the same
   35  legislative session or an extension thereof and becomes a law.
