       Senator Truenow moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 313 and 314
    4  insert:
    5         Section 4. Section 327.435, Florida Statutes, is created to
    6  read:
    7         327.435 Silver Glen Springs protection zone.—
    8         (1) Notwithstanding s. 327.45, a spring protection zone is
    9  created in the Silver Glen Springs. No vessel may be operated or
   10  anchored within 230 feet of the Silver Glen Springs vent.
   11  Additionally, the safe and legal use and enjoyment of the Silver
   12  Glen Springs run outside of the designated spring protection
   13  zone is authorized. This section does not restrict:
   14         (a) Law enforcement, firefighter, or other rescue personnel
   15  from operating a vessel in the course of performing official
   16  duties;
   17         (b) The operation of a vessel in an emergency event when
   18  deemed a reasonable or likely response under the circumstances;
   19  or
   20         (c) Vessels operated by local, state, or federal officials
   21  where access vessel travel within the spring is necessary to
   22  perform official duties to benefit the springs, animal life, or
   23  contiguous lands.
   24         (2) Any individual who operates a vessel in violation of
   25  this section shall be charged on a uniform boating citation as
   26  provided in s. 327.74 and is subject to the penalties provided
   27  in s. 327.73(1)(y).

   31         Delete line 27
   32  and insert:
   33         commission to adopt rules; creating s. 327.435, F.S.;
   34         creating the Silver Glen Springs protection zone;
   35         restricting the operation or anchoring of vessels
   36         within a specified area; authorizing the legal use of
   37         additional areas; providing applicability; specifying
   38         applicable penalties; amending s. 327.70, F.S.;
