Thirty percent of all food commodities distributed by Feeding Florida must be fresh Florida products. From the funds in Specific Appropriation 1459D, Feeding Florida shall submit quarterly reports that include the amount and type of fresh produce distributed to needy families, local food entities, and community partners. The reports shall include a detailed breakout of the types of fresh commodities distributed. The quarterly reports shall be submitted to the chair of the Senate Committee on Appropriations and the chair of the House of Representatives Appropriations Committee by January 1, 2026. From the funds provided in Specific Appropriation 1459D, Feeding Florida may not allow any candidate for elective office to host a food distribution event during the period of time between the last day of the election qualifying period and the date of the election, if the candidate is opposed for election or re-election at the time of the event.
