    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to continuing education requirements;
    3         amending s. 455.2124, F.S.; revising applicability of
    4         a certain provision relating to completion of a
    5         continuing education requirement for licensure renewal
    6         to exempt certain building code administrators and
    7         inspectors; providing an effective date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. Paragraph (b) of subsection (2) of section
   12  455.2124, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
   13         455.2124 Proration of or not requiring continuing
   14  education.—
   15         (2)
   16         (b) This subsection does not apply to building code
   17  administrators and inspectors regulated pursuant to part XII of
   18  chapter 468; engineers regulated pursuant to chapter 471; to
   19  certified public accountants regulated pursuant to chapter 473;
   20  to brokers, broker associates, and sales associates regulated
   21  pursuant to part I of chapter 475; to appraisers regulated
   22  pursuant to part II of chapter 475; to architects, interior
   23  designers, or landscape architects regulated pursuant to chapter
   24  481; or to contractors regulated pursuant to chapter 489.
   25         Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
