    1                          Senate Resolution                        
    2         A resolution recognizing August 2026 as “Immunization
    3         Awareness Month” in Florida.
    4  
    5         WHEREAS, high immunization rates, in general, have
    6  dramatically reduced the incidence of vaccine-preventable
    7  diseases in the United States, and
    8         WHEREAS, it is incumbent upon adults and parents to be
    9  fully informed as to the benefits and risks of such vaccinations
   10  in order to make wise decisions for themselves and their
   11  children, and
   12         WHEREAS, the month of August has been designated by the
   13  United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as
   14  National Immunization Awareness Month, NOW, THEREFORE,

   16  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:
   17  
   18         That August 2026 is recognized as “Immunization Awareness
   19  Month” in Florida.
