    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to building code inspection services;
    3         amending s. 287.056, F.S.; requiring the Department of
    4         Management Services to enter into and maintain state
    5         term contracts for building code inspection services;
    6         providing an effective date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    9  
   10         Section 1. Present subsection (4) of section 287.056,
   11  Florida Statutes, is redesignated as subsection (5), and a new
   12  subsection (4) is added to that section, to read:
   13         287.056 Purchases from purchasing agreements and state term
   14  contracts; vendor disqualification.—
   15         (4) The department must enter into and maintain one or more
   16  state term contracts with vendors for the purpose of providing
   17  building code inspection services as defined in s. 553.791.
   18         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2026.
