       The Committee on Education Postsecondary (Jones) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 48 and 49
    4  insert:
    5         Section 2. Section 683.339, Florida Statutes, is created to
    6  read:
    7         683.339George Floyd Day of Remembrance.—
    8         (1)October 14 of each year is designated as “George Floyd
    9  Day of Remembrance.”
   10         (2)The Governor may annually issue a proclamation
   11  designating October 14 as “George Floyd Day of Remembrance.”

   14  And the title is amended as follows:
   15         Delete lines 2 - 6
   16  and insert:
   17         An act relating to days of remembrance; creating ss.
   18         683.338 and 683.339, F.S.; designating October 14 of
   19         each year as “Charlie Kirk Day of Remembrance” and
   20         “George Floyd Day of Remembrance,” respectively;
   21         authorizing the Governor to issue annual
   22         proclamations; providing an effective date.
