Through its pre-release program (Ready4Release), Operation New Hope will provide pre-release case management, transition planning, career development, and referrals for incarcerated inmates at any Department of Corrections’ facility that is within 12 months of release. Through its post-release program (Ready4Work), Operation New Hope will provide post-release services including case management, career development, life skills training, job skills training, family reunification, financial assistance, and job placement assistance to ex-offenders on community supervision, or ex-offenders that have served time at a Department of Corrections’ facility, or participants of any State Attorney’s Office Diversion or Pretrial Intervention Programs, or adult ex-offenders who served time in a Department of Juvenile Justice facility. The Ready4Work program may provide post-release services to any ex-offender that is within travel distance to a service location. Through its virtual post-release program (Ready4Success), Operation New Hope will provide services to ex-offenders using a virtual (telecommunications, email, online software and video conferencing) platform for ex-offenders not able to attend in-person training. Funds used for the administrative services will be 18 percent of the total funds appropriated. Funds may be used for startup activities for opening of new Ready4Work locations in Florida but may not exceed 25 percent of the total funds appropriated.
