CS/SB 1308: Insurance Ratemaking

GENERAL BILL by Banking and Insurance ; Alexander

Insurance Ratemaking; provides that filings providing rate increases & decreases for specified lines of property/casualty & motor vehicle insurance within specified range shall not be subject to determination by Insurance Regulation Office that rate is excessive or unfairly discriminatory; provides inapplicability to rate filings for medical malpractice; deletes provisions re arbitration of certain decisions re property/casualty ins. rate filings, etc. Amends Ch 627.
