GENERAL BILL by Evers

Unfair or Deceptive Acts or Practices Involving Motor Vehicles; Providing for the disposition of certain claims against motor vehicle dealers before civil litigation; directing the Department of Legal Affairs to adopt a notice-of-claim form; prohibiting a claimant from initiating litigation against a motor vehicle dealer that pays the actual damages claimed plus a surcharge within a specified period; limiting admissibility of a motor vehicle dealer’s payment or offer to pay a claimant’s actual damage, etc.
