Appropriations (Budget) by Committee Subject Area

Appropriations and Implementing bills authorize the spending of public money on an annual basis. The appropriations measures passed by the Legislature comprise the state budget. Information relating to these bills and other bills that have been determined to be part of the budget process is posted here. Amendment Deadlines

  • Floor Amendment Deadline

    • Wednesday, April 12, 2017 - SB 2500, SB 2502, and other bills relating to the state's budget will be on the Special Order Calendar to be considered by the Senate.
    • Monday, April 10, 2017, by 1:30 p.m. - Amendments to SB 2500 and SB 2502 must be submitted for preparation and filing to the appropriate Appropriations committee staff (room 201 Capitol). The amendment deadline for all other bills on the Special Order Calendar, including the conforming bills for the budget, will be governed by Rule 7.1, as usual, and should be filed with the Secretary of the Senate. 
    • Tuesday, April 11, 2017, by 1:30 p.m. - Amendments to amendments and substitute amendments to SB 2500 and SB 2502 must be submitted to the appropriate Appropriations committee staff (room 201 Capitol). The amendment deadline for all other bills on the Special Order Calendar, including the conforming bills for the budget, will be governed by Rule 7.1, as usual, and should be filed with the Secretary of the Senate.
