(Include services to be provided)Systematic implementation of the CHILD instructional model in at least 2-pilot districts.CHILD (Changing How Instruction for Learning is Delivered) is a proven state funded standards-based instructional delivery system for grades K-5 that improves student performance in reading,writing and mathematics.This project will fund a systematic approach to school improvement throughout at least 2 districts with an emphasis on school-wide, rather than piecemeal implementation of proven best practices.Funding will also be provided to enable additional districts to apply for school-wide implementation grants to expand existing CHILD schools to school-wide, or for new school start-ups.
