The North Corridor BRT promotes regionalism and intermodalism.This project links the fast-growing, major urban communities of Broward County and the neighborhoods of NW Miami Dade County to the exisiting Metrorail system.This project will promote intermodal transportation linkages with Metrorail, Metromover, Miami Dade and Broward's bus system, as well as Tri-County Commuter Rail service.An efficient transportation infrastructure promotes economic development and stability.

The North Corridor project is a proposed 9.5 mile Bus Rapid transit (BRT) extension from the existing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Metrorail station, running North along NW 27 Avenue from NW 62 St. to the Miami Dade Broward County Line at NW 215 St.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

Promoting regionalism and intermodalism, this project will link the fast-growing, major urban communities of Broward County and the neighborhoods of NW Miami-Dade County to the existing Metrorail system inception.Although this information has yet to be finalized, preliminary figures estimate daily ridership to be from 4,210 to 5,320.Final ridership projections will be available early 2002.
