The Initiative includes 7 projects in Palm Beach and Martin Counties to����������� improve water quality in the nationally designated Wild and Scenic Loxahatchee River.The project includes urban stormwater����� improvements, wetland habitat restoration, and drinking water and sewer utility service to Jonathan Dickenson State Park, Boy Scout and Girl Scout campsites.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

The 7 Initiative projects will improve water quality in impaired waters by increasing stormwater retention and treatment in developed areas, providing increased water storage and treatment in restored wetlands and eliminating the use of septic tanks at Jonathan Dickinson State Park and the Boy Scout and Girl Scout camps. In addition, these projects will increase native habitat, improve flood protection , reduce sedimentation and provide safe water to the State Park and scout campsites.
