Project Description:

Plans call for the demolition of a current underutilized and deteriorating facility and the construction of a one-stop shop facility to house the City's building permitting, engineering permitting, fire permitting, occupational licenses and zoning and development review operations.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

This One Stop Shop facility is anticipated to stimulate additional public investments as well as much needed private investments to make the northwest neighborhood economically viable.� Several additional development initiatives are also planned for the area, which include a City-CRA Office facility (this is already in place), major infrastructure improvements and a residential development project by the Bank of America.� The creation of these new facilities will create a much-needed sense of security in the neighborhood and serve as people generators, which will bring in people from all sectors. Construction is anticipated to be completed by May 15, 2003.
