Project Description:

The Humane Society acquired a property to construct a new shelter, in North Miami Beach, which if "hardened" appropriately will serve as an emergency evacuation center for people with their pets.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

More efficient evacuation of residents with pets who otherwise refuse to leave due to the fact that other emergency shelters frequently will not allow their pets.
