This facility has been designed as a special needs facility to service those coastal residents who are evacuated because of the threat of a hurricane.� The facility is specifically designed to assit those with special needs.� During a hurricane evacuation 250,000 or more people move inland from the barrier islands on the central east coast and from the coastal areas of the central west coast.� This facility is to give them a place of shelter to weather out the storm.
