Project Description:

Constuction of reuse transmission system from the City of Fernandina Beach Wastewater Treatment Plant to the Rayonier Paper Mill to convey 2 million gallons per day (MGD)of reuse at startup and 4.25 MGD at build-out to replace groundwater currently being used tofor cooling water in the mill process.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

Conserve approximately 730 Million Gallons per Year at start up and 1.55 Billion Gallons per Year at build-out by replacing a withdrawal from the Florida Aquifer with reclaimed water that would otherwise be disposed of in the Amelia River.
