Project Description:

This project compromises Phase One of The Corporate Aviation Terminal Complex at Space Coast Regional Airport. It incorporates the Corporate Aviation Terminal building, including the utilities, fixtures and furniture required fo rthe public area, public meeting rooms, and Airport Authority offices; a concrete apron designed to accommodate large corporate jets, such as the Gulfsteam 4; a roadway with landscape circular drive in front of the terminal building; and the required vehicular parking spaces.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

We conservatively estimate that 27 new direct employees will be required at startup in support of the new corporate aviation terminal; these will include Fixed Base Operator (FBO), car-rental, food service, maintenance and Airport Authority positions.Average hourly wages for this grup is estimated at $18.00.These jobs would have an annual direct salary impct totaling nearly $1,010,880 in the community. The State of Florida will receive estimated FDOT Transportation Fund taxes of $145,000 from incremental first year fule sales. In addition, this project will help support the State of Florida's desire to maintain the NASA Space Program in the state as the premier gateway to space. The Space Coast Regional Airport will serve as a transportation center for the Space Experiment Research and Processing Laboratory (SERPL) and Space Commerce Park currently under construction.
