Project Description:

The present building is extremely overcrowded, old and expensive to maintain.� New facility would allow for consolidation of scattered offices and replacement of the Regional Lab-The Miami-Dade County Branch of the Florida Lab is part of the Florida Department of Health Bureau of Laboratories and works closely with the M-DCHD. The lab is currently the highest certified bio-terrorism laboratory (level 3-C) for handling and testing unknown substances south of CDC in Atlanta, GA.
