Project Description:

Centrally located (along University Blvd. Corridor) facility to house both the District 12 Medical Examiner operations and a Law Enforcement Crime Labatory to serve DeSota, Manatee, and Sarasota Counties.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

Much grater efficiency with operations in one location instead of three.� Reduction in travel time, and duplicated costs, and personnel required to operate two autopsy facilities.� Better utilization of personnel (i.e., autopsy tech could function in other capacities when there are no cases pending autopsy or signout).� Greater convenience for families, funeral homes, and other agencies who interact with the Medical Examiners Office.
