This project has statewide significance as LYNX is the only regional transportation authority in the state providng services to a multi-county area, namely Orange, Seminole, Osceola and Volusia Counties. AS a central repair facility, this project is consistent with the 2020 Florida Transportation Plan and its focus on mimizing the impacts of transportation facilities and services to the environment, while providing impetus for increasing transit ridership and expanding specialized transportation services to meet the needs of the transportation disadvantaged. This project is intermodal in nature because it supports the bus network, which serves to connect numerous mobility modes, such as rail, airports, pedestrian, and bicycle. |
