Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Built in the early 1980's, this 5,000 square foot, 2 story building housing 52 clients is in need of extensive renovation and repair.This building houses the Non-Secure Treatment Program.The Non-Secure Treatment Program uses traditional education and counseling techniques.High expectations and high commitment fromboth client and staff support the positive change.The intent,purpose, design and implementation of this program are all in accordance with the porvisions of the Community Corrections Partnership Act.Treatment in this 6-month community based residential program consists of three components.The Intensive Treatment Component is a modified therapeutic community.Its duration is 2 months. Clients do not leave the facility during this component.The Second Component is the Employment/Re-Entry Component.Its duration is 4 months.During this time they are receiving at least 6 hours of counseling each week.Counceling consists of a combination of individual and group therapy.The third component consist of 6 months of aftercare.During this final component, clients do not reside on the Choice's campus.They return for aftercare counseling sessions and 12 step meetings.
