Project Description:

To continue Seminole County Drug Court and the Department of Community Corrections outpatient services that were implemented by last year's Community Budget Request Services began July 26, 2001.� These programs are full functional and highly effective diversion programs for the 18th Circuit which increases public safety and decreases crime.� The cooperation between the Courts, State Attorney Office, Public Defenders Office, Probation and Community Corrections, and the Grove Counseling Center makes these highly effective programs.� These proven models reduce crime, recidivism and are highly cost effective.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

Seventy percent completion of a one year program drug free.� Seventy percent will not be re-arrested for a new crime during the program. One-hundred percent will be employed, enrolled in school or in vocational training by completion of the program.
