Project Description:

The majority of the City of South Miami was developed prior to the construction of Miami-Dade County's water and sewer system.� Consequently, many of the City's residential neighborhoods still rely upon wells to provide for drinking water needs.� Unfortunately, the significant stress put on the aquifer by urbanization has resulted in deteriorating water quality.� Providing high-quality municipal water and fire protection are of utmost importance for our residents.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

Bringing our residential areas on-line with County water with respect to potable drinking water and fire protection.
