Project Description:

24-hour walk-in crisis support for individuals and families with mental health & substance abuse problems. Through early intervention and short-term treatment, the goal is to assess needs link people with appropriate services rather than costly inpatient services, hospital ERs and jail.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

In Manatee County, where this model was piloted, there was a savings the first year of $697,000 in publicly funded inpatient psychiatric services alone.
