The Latin Chamber of Commerce (CAMACOL) is the largest Hispanic business organization in the State of Florida and one of the most influential minority retailers to large corporations. The organization enjoys 501c(6) status with the Internal Revenue Service. The activities funded by this item are focused on providing statewide assistance to Florida's small and minority business community in order to penetrate the international marketplace.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

CAMACOL has met or exceeded the performance standars in its current contract with the Governor's office of Trade, Tourism, and Economic Development. Development and Outreach Program targeting the State for more than 100 Florida companies and economic development organizations; development of at least 200 per/month electronic business matchmaker held in conjunction with the Hemispheric Congress; recruitment of 50-100 Florida based firms to participate in the Inter-American Business Matchmaker held in conjunction with Hemispheric Congress; participation of 150-200 small/minority Fl companies at the matchmaker and exhibition; assist 200 companies per quarter; 3-4 trade missions/shows; 2 regional and statewide seminars/workshops per quarter; incubator program promotion throughout minority business community; establishes 30 small/minority export firms in incubator center; 2 statewide cooperative aggreements; 4 domestic trade shows.
