The segment of West SR 50 from Florida's Turnpike interchnage (east of the Lake county line) to CR 431 (Pine Hills Road) serves as one of the major east-west corridors in Central Florida. This 12.8 mile segment of SR 50 is classified as a four-lane divided principal arterial and is located in west Orange County. SR 50 serves local trips as well as trips with destinations outside of Orange County.

Project length is 12. 8 miles. Widening from 4-6 lanes. Orange County & FDOT have entered into a Joint Participation Agreement for this project. Aditionally the project will analyze the realignment of Beulah Road, near the Western Beltway.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

By providing increased capacity to west SR 50, additional development will be able to occur fostering economic growth for the cities of Oakland, Winter Garden, and Ocoee. In addition, improvements will create better access to the villages of Horizon West development for residents from downtown Orlando.
