MRC will continue river improvement projects including: dredging; development & construction of Riverwalk/Greenway; complete Miami river infill redevelopment plan; improve public safety; improve stormwater systems, seek grant funding for river improvement projects; provide river website for public education (see www.miamirivercommission.org)

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

Improved river shipping commerce & international trade creating new employment opportunities; Riverwalk will bring new entertainment businesses to riverside (cafes, restaurants, night clubs, etc); redevelopment plan will provide economic incentives & recommendations for appropriate development, zoning, environmental improvements, crime prevention & housing.
