Project Description:
An after school program for Middle school age children involved in Juvenile Justice System or at risk for Juvenile behaviors. This program will provide an array of services including academic tutoring,behavior modification,effective parenting training, improved socialization skills,pre-vocational planning,mental health and/or substance abuse treatment,teenage pregancy prevention,self-esteem programing,value clarification. The program will focus on early intervention and prevention, its aim will be to divert youth from being committed as juvenile delinquents and moving through the cycle of first degree misdemeanors to felonies. Participants who successfully complete the program will be able to lead socially acceptable lifestyles. In addition, government funds will not need to be directed on a long-term basis to these youths.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
70% of the youth shall complete the program as evidenced by attendence list and certificate completion;90% participant shall improve their academic performance as evidenced by pre and post testing;100% of all youth shall complete all performance requirements in their performance plan as evidenced by written discharge performance summery reports;100% of all youth shall demonstrate at least 50% improvement in behavior skills, measured by pre and post testing.
