| To develop a water ferry service for coastal Broward County to service the critical mass along the beach and downtown area |

| Reduce single occupancy trips, decreasing air pollution, increase access to congested areas, provide inter-modal transportation, linking downtown parking with the beach, alleviate traffic congestion from future residential growth in the downtown area, encourage mainland parking usage, reducing the beach parking crunch, provide waterborne transit alternative to the 3 years of 17th Street bridge construction congestion, help cut down seasonal traffic variations and rush hour congestion, adapt to accomodate the expansion of the Port and Airport, extend both north and south in the county, provide mass transit for major events such as the Air and Sea Show. |
