Project Description:
The city of Graceville proposes the establishment of a waterline from an existing pump located at the Graceville Work Camp site. Establishment of this line will enable the City of Graceville to maintain an acceptable fire suppression capability. Due to a previous consent order, the City of Graceville carried out waterline improvement project in order to bring fire suppression up to acceptable standards. These improvements were carried out at the City's expense. Due to economic growth and proposed projects within the city, itis projected that an estimated 32 residences will be established within the next 6 months with more extensive growth projected over the next 1-5 years. The current water system as configured will simply not support the considerable consumption that these residences will require and maintain adequate fire suppression capabilities at the Jackson Convalescence Center and the Campbellton/Graceville Hospital

Is this a water project as described in Chapter 2002-291, Laws of Florida? No

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Establishment of the proposed water supply line would eliminate the pressure placed on the pump and waterlines currently being used by the City residents. Establishment will also enable the City to maintain current mandated fire suppression capabilities at the Campbellton/Graceville Hospital and Convalescence Center.
