| Project Description: |
| This funding would be used to refurbish an existing facility within the Miami Police Department's Central Station. Once repairs are made, this facility would permit the examination, identification, technical photography, microphotography and collection of trace DNA and latent fingerprint evidence in a variety of criminal cases. It would permit the examination of bio-hazardous evidence, vehicles, weapons, and other items. |

| Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
| In addition to better trained officiers, which is critical after the events of September 11th, the City will no longer have to rent other facilities from other agencies. This would save countless time and money as the logistics of getting more than 1000 officers trained and qualified in the use of firearms in a rented facility is inconvinient. Additionally, law enforcement officers throughout the state would have access to this facility. |
