| Project Description: |
| Public Education Capital Outlay (PECO)planning funds are requested to renovate Manatee Community College's Life Fitness Center on the Venice campus. Due to the explosive enrollment growth experienced on this campus over the past three years, a trend that is expected to continue well into the future, additional classroom space is needed. The plan is to convert this gymnasium into classroom and laboratory space to accomodate this growth and meet the needs of the community. This conversion will optimize the use of current campus facilities and thus postpone any new construction that would otherwise be needed. |
