| This facility has been designed as a special needs facility to service those coastal residents who are evacuated because of the threat of a hurricane or other disaster. The facility is specifically designed to assist those with special needs. During a evacuation 250,000 or more people move inland from the barrier islands on the central east coast and from coastal areas of the central west coast. This facility is to give those special needs persons a shelter to weather out the storm. | |||||||||
