| The city of Keystone Heights sits on a high recharge area of the Florida Aquifier. The project will provide a centralized treatment facility that will reduce the need for septic tanks, which can potentially become sources of bactorlogical contamination in groundwaters, storm water run-off, lakes and other surface water bodies. A treatment facility is also more resistant to upset than septic tanks and will provide a efflucnt, that is treated, monitored and regulated. |
