Project Description:
Loxahatchee Pavilion at Grassy Waters Preserve involves construction of the Loxahatchee Pavilion and its associated exhibits. Loxahatchee Pavilion as a major ecotourism destination will tell the story of restoration of the Everglades including restoration of the Loxahatchee Slough and restoration of the Loxahatchee River. Restoration of the River is totally dependent on Grassy Waters Preserve (20 square miles) providing water to the River. Loxahatchee River is one of only two nationally recognized wild and scenic rivers within Florida. This will be recognized as a major accomplishment of Governor Bush's administration in conjunction with the City of West Palm Beach and South Florida Water Management District.
