Also included is construction of a spur on the south jetty of Port Everglades and two t-head groins at the north end of John U. Lloyd Beach State Recreation Area. This funding request is a resubmittal of last year's request, which was appropriated by the Legislature and allocated to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). DEP reprogrammed the funds to other projects, because due to permitting delays, Broward County could not timely spend the funds this fiscal year.
