St. Joseph's Children's Heart Center has received patients from 32 counties across Florida. (See Attachment A) It is nationally known as a comprehensive center for children with single ventricle heart disease. The success rate for diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiac conditions exceeds that of larger well-known centers around the country.

Project Description:
St. Joseph's Children's Heart Center is a regional source for pediatric cardiac patients with a demonstrated success rate comparable to nationally known centers. The current project would allow the construction of pediatric surgical suites necessary to provide life-saving procedures for this expanding population.

Increase service availability to the growing population in the State of Florida with a continued survival rate of 99% (up to 30 days after surgery) and 96.4% long term survival.
