This will correct a documented need for drinking water quality improvement as mandated by a Consent Order issued by the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection. These water quality improvements are being implemented statewide, and will reduce the levels of trihalomethanes (a carcinogen) in the City's drinking water to the acceptable levels as stipulated in the Consent Order.
