Funding is requested to support the enrollment growth plan submitted to the Florida Board of Education. This plan supports an estimated 250 additional students being served by the USF Sarasota/Manatee campus. This funding will support the legislative goal of seamless articulation and maximum access by expanding offerings in education, business, arts and sciences. Funding would support new faculty in high-growth, high-demand areas such as education measurement, secondary science, adult education, finance, management, marketing, information technology, and the AS to BS in public service administration. In addition, funding would support an increase in summer class offerings. The funding would recur and should be included as a portion of the DOE budget request.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Access to degree programs will more than double from 2,000 to 4,800 citizens since 2002 whend the legislature granted fiscal autonomy to the USF branches and funded 15 additional full degree programs including a School of Hotel and Restaurant Management.
